I am so excited to share this part of my journey! If you missed it, check out Part 1 & Part 2 before I learned how to design a career you love.

part 3: cracked the code to Designing a career you love

Through a lot of trial and error in my own discovery paired with getting trained by one of the best coaching programs, I finally cracked the code!

I figured out how to make a career change and design a career you love, that includes personal priorities.

I’m sharing this experience because I don’t want you to have to reach the breaking point I had to reach in order to make a career change and I don’t want you to use your precious time to figure out how to go about it – I did that work for you. I want you to easily design your career and life in a way that you are showing up as your highest self not just at work, but also at home.

Because as I recently posted on Instagram:

WE’RE SO BUSY SURVIVING LIFE THAT WE DON’T TAKE THE TIME TO MAKE A LIFE. IF YOU DON’t TAKE THE TIME TO DESIGN IT, you’ll sorely miss out.

As women, sometimes we can be the most guilty of this. For years, we’ve been taught to put everything before ourselves. We care so much about the other people or things in our life that we often times end up at the end of our to-do lists.

That needs to change because in order to be a good manager, colleague, wife, sister, mother and friend, you have to prioritize yourself, tend to yourself and design your life to do the things that make you happy.

But here’s the catch:

“If you want to be happy, you have to be happy on purpose. You can’t wait to see what kind of day it is, you have to wake up and create what kind of day it’s going to be.”  – Tony Robbins

You, me and Beyonce all have the same hours in a day. So no more saying I don’t have time.

Life is a choice. You have to stop act like it’s happening to you, but rather look at it as happening FOR you.

As much as my advertising career demanded a lot out of me, I ALLOWED it to get to that point. Shame on me.

But I also recognize that I learned so much in that career. I worked with some of the most amazing people, learned from some of the smartest people I’ve ever met, and acquired skills that will last me a lifetime. It was not a “mistake” or “failure”, is was an integral part of my journey.

However, at the end of the day, life is too short to be miserable in your career. You’re not promised tomorrow so stop disposing of your precious time.

If you can relate to this feeling, I’ve got some exciting news coming up and I can’t wait to share more this week.

No more playing small with your life, girl.
